Muty Policy on Privacy of Customer Personal Information

Muty is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information obtained through your use of Muty. This document explains what types of personal information we collect, how it's used, and the steps we take to handle it appropriately.

What is personal information?

Personal information refers to information that identifies an individual and is recorded in any form. The following are generally not considered personal information: public telephone directories (opt-out available), public professional/business directories, public registries and court records, and other publicly available publications.

We are accountable to you

Muty is responsible for all personal information under its control. Our team is accountable for compliance with these privacy and security principles.

Purpose of collection and your consent

Muty identifies the purpose for which personal information is collected before or at the time of collection. Unless otherwise specified, you are deemed to consent to our use for: communicating with you, processing purchases and transactions, fraud and risk protection, providing requested products and services, recommending products and services, conducting statistical analyses of user behavior to improve design and navigation (aggregate data only), complying with legal and governmental requirements, and any other purpose reasonably apparent at the time of collection. You may change your consent preferences anytime by contacting us.

Limiting collection

Muty collects only the information required to provide products and services, and only by clear, fair and lawful means. We do not receive or store personal content saved to your local device while using Muty.

Like many websites, we use cookies and similar technologies so our systems can recognize your browser and provide features such as keeping you signed in. Browsers typically allow you to refuse new cookies, be notified when cookies are set, or disable cookies altogether. We may also collect IP address, login email, browser type/version, timezone, OS/platform, URL clickstream, product views, and session performance metrics for anti-fraud and service improvement.

Limiting disclosure and retention

Muty does not disclose personal information to any organization or person except: service providers performing functions on our behalf (e.g., delivery, email, data analysis, payment processing, customer service) with access limited to what is necessary; and in business acquisitions or asset transfers where customer information may be transferred but remains subject to existing privacy commitments.

Where information is shared with third parties, they are bound by appropriate agreements to protect confidentiality. Muty retains your personal information only for as long as required for our business relationship or as required by law.

Accuracy and access

Muty keeps your personal information up to date, accurate and relevant for its intended use. You may contact us to access, review and correct your personal information.

Security

We protect your personal information via physical, electronic and organizational measures, including restricted facilities, password protection and database encryption, least-privilege access, and contractual obligations with third parties. We use TLS and similar protocols during transmission. Please protect your devices and passwords and sign off shared computers.

Third-party advertising and links

Our site may include third-party advertising and links. We do not provide personally identifiable information to these parties. They may use cookies, JavaScript, and web beacons to measure ad effectiveness and personalize content. Their practices are not covered by this policy; please refer to their privacy policies.

Transparency

We are committed to providing clear, accessible information about our privacy practices. Our business changes over time and this policy may be updated; we will not materially change practices to be less protective of previously collected information without consent.
